Value of Blogs

Blogs are a valuable form of media. they allow for normal people to get their word and their opinions out without requiring a large amount of money. Those who can write, and write convincingly can change opinions, and all outside of mainstream media, which has to many interest groups' hands in it.
Anyone can write a blog they don't have to be rich, connected, or even very smart. this allows for new and evolving ideas, that can circulate much more quickly than in traditional media.
Blogging is also very foolproof , because you have so much selection. you are given so many points of view that you can ignore the stupid people and learn the important and relevant things.
My favorite blog I read was the one about droid phones, and their business strategy, because it exemplifies the point of a blog perfectly. it offers an idea or opinion without being/claiming to be the only idea or opinion on the subject. It attempts to convince the reader of the validity of their idea with reason. From there the audience is free to form their own opinions.
Blogs are the new and better way, the world is going to run. people will be well opinionated, and ideas will grow and develop, and keep our society fresh and progressive, and strong.

Critique of: Court Rules Government Can Get Your Online Personal Data Without Warrant By Graeme McMillan

More than anything McMillan is simply stating facts, and the bare minimum facts for that matter. Wiki Leaks court cases have been kept pretty quiet, so McMillan may not have that much information to work with or form an opinion with. The article is dry and uninteresting,a few more quotes and maybe an interview would help make the blog more interesting.

Summary of: Court Rules Government Can Get Your Online Personal Data Without Warrant By Graeme McMillan

McMillan stated that a U.S. District Court Judge ruled that the government can gather personal information from the Internet. This has come into question lately because of Wiki Leaks Trials, where police have gathered the defendants information online without warrants. The judge's reasoning was that they consented to have their information collected when it was publicly posted. This means that the government could be legally allowed to have full and unrestricted secret access to all of your online information.
